Our Story:
LearnSweden is owned by Per Svangren and Valarie
Budayr. Together they have over 30 years experience as thought leaders
in education and educational development. Learnsweden was created
from Per’s private day school, Botkyrka Friskola, in Stockholm,
Sweden. For the last 15 years, they have provided education to 400
students annually between the ages of 6-16.
After several years of wanting to study Swedish
properly, Valarie found her way to LearnSweden, where she proceeded
to take 6 courses in Swedish. This was the spark which started her
work at LearnSweden not just as a student but as a business
consultant. After several months of fun and satisfying work, Valarie
joined the LearnSweden team as one of its owners. Valarie comes to
LearnSweden with a long history as an educator, a strong background
in program development, and school administration.
Together, we have the privilege of combining our
love of Sweden, our great commitment to quality education, and
online learning all together. It has been such a rewarding
experience to create an online community of people who love Sweden
as much as we do.
Per Svangren:
Per Svangren is LearnSweden´s founder and CEO. He
has nearly three decades of experience in the educational field and
is also the founder of Botkyrka Friskola, a private day school in
Stockholm, serving 400 students a year.
Valarie Budayr:
Valarie Budayr is co-owner and Director of Public
Relations. For twenty years she has been a catalyst in creating
inspiring and motivating learning programs in schools and
universities across the eastern United States. An award winning
classical composer and teacher ,Valarie has embraced e-learning with
a passion and enjoys learning, teaching, and developing fun programs
for online learning.
